All the good stuff in life has come to being through craftmanship.
“Getting to know the aspect ‘crafting’ (creating by hand) opened new doors for me as a maker. I’m trying to learn from different crafting techniques and season my work with it.”
Marit Kok (26) is the imagemaker that photographs, designs and creates with an innate fascination for stop-motion and handmade content. With a background in graphic design Marit is always looking for ways in which graphics and film can meet.
Marit has lived and interned in Brighton (UK) at Crush Creative, at Studio Mals in Rotterdam, and currently works on her own freelance projects in Delft. Marit is both graduated graphic designer
as graduated filmmaker. At the moment she runs her own, small creative business called ‘Marit Maakt’ (since 2017). Creating handmade content with a digital touch for a younger audience is her biggest goal. This year she released her first picture book ‘Het Verhaal van Donker (The Tale of Dark)’ and is striving to create more by hand and bring her own, build worlds to life through still- and moving image.
