Marit Kok (28) is the imagemaker with an innate fascination for stop-motion animation and handmade content. With a back-ground in graphic design and film Marit is always looking for ways in which these two can meet.
With two books on her record Marit is striving to bring her own, build worlds to life through still- and moving image. This year she released her second picture book Propje (Crumple) after her debut ‘Het Verhaal van Donker (The Tale of Dark)’ in 2022.
Marit has lived and interned in Brighton, UK at Crush Creative and at Studio Mals in Rotterdam. At the moment she runs her own, creative business called ‘Marit Maakt’ (since 2017) in which she combines her crafts. Creating handmade content with a digital touch for a younger audience is her biggest goal.
